NEC Created Endless Impressions at ISE 2018
At this year’s show, NEC presented and showcased around the theme of “Creating Endless Impressions”, focusing on retail signage technologies that engage, meeting and collaboration solutions that connect, and large venue display solutions that impress.
We created an indeed lasting impression and got not only a lot of positive feedback from the visitors but also the award for the Best Stand Design in the category XL stands by EXHIBITOR Magazine.

Direct view LED wall
Create a more engaging in-store customer experience and connect with today’s smart shoppers! Many eye-catching visual displays lured visitors to the NEC stand, but by its sheer size and vitality, the direct view LED wall was surely the most inviting!
Sensor driven retail presentation
NEC’s leafengine combined with indoor 1.5 mm fine pitch LED alongside modern high-class furniture and the shelf from Vitra offered visitors an engaging interaction. By lifting products to have a closer look, the customer is presented with appropriate content - an appealing visual interaction to promote brand loyalty in prestige stores.
Direct view LED digital posters
The prevalence of LED technology continues in the retail area with Direct view LED digital posters. Plug and play life sized posters can be installed within minutes, controlled via app they enable instant signage where mobility and flexibility is key.
Mirror glass P Series displays
Large format continues to figure prominently for retail signage and visitors witnessed two Mirror glass P Series displays create a captivating interplay between a real mirror and a digital signage display. Coloured bezels make these displays your brand ambassador!
Back-to-back totem with new C Series
The latest addition to NEC’s large format line-up makes signage seamless. Integrated into a totem, the C Series can be installed back-to-back, generating a total depth of approx. 6cm freeing up space and attracting customers with stunning content.
NEC’s Open Modular Intelligence
With NEC’s Open Modular Intelligence (OMi), embedded computing power can be scaled up to the performance needed to achieve best results suited to the application. Various Slot-in PC’s offer 4K UHD media playback, while for smooth Full HD playback, the smart and seamlessly embedded Raspberry Pi compute modules bring low cost access to the world of digital signage.

NEC InfinityBoard - The all-in-one solution
NEC helps to connect people in any scenario: on-site or remote, large or small audiences, scheduled or spontaneous. The NEC InfinityBoard is the all-in-one solution to meet the needs of all these scenarios and was a hot topic at ISE, equipped for video conferencing, creative brainstorming and collaboration in medium sized meeting rooms and think tanks.
Huddle space solution
NEC creates entire huddle space solutions including a sound bar combining audio and video in one compact tool. With BYOD capability, quick and easy wireless presentation is supported to start meetings instantly. This addition sums up plug and play solutions for todays’ smart and mobile workers.
NEC board room solutions
In board room environments, analysing big data is crucial. It is essential that the access, management and perception of information remain intuitive, manageable and clearly visible. NEC meets these demands with three different technologies: direct view LED, LCD and high bright laser projection.

4K large venue projection
With NEC’s visualisation solutions for large venues, visions become reality! NEC’s new flagship 4K RGB projector, the PH3501QL, brings cinema quality viewing to auditoriums and art installations. Achieve greater detail and even more accurate colours with 40,000 centre lumens brightness.
The PH3501QL was easily competing with the sunshine streaming through a window when I attended the stand - seriously impressive brightness.
Projection mapping with laser projectors
Five NEC PA803UL laser projectors mapped beautiful images onto a crystal shape ‘floating’ above the audience. Flexibility of setup including lens shift, free tilt and portrait installation capability combines with geometric adjustment to create the most spectacular and artistic installations – even in the most difficult environments.
NEC MTS Multi Touch Solution
To engage with your audience, large digital canvases with seamless touch integration offer eye catching solutions. NEC’s protective glass secured video wall displays combined with the NEC MTS Multi Touch Solution delivers seamless touch integration, designed to think big! With tailor-made multi-touch software the interactive video wall follows your individual needs.
Digital signage with desktop monitors
For smaller eye-catching signage installations, the 4-sided narrow bezel desktop monitor, MultiSync EX241UN, offers flexible installation possibilities. Originally designed for multi-screen set-ups in trading floors, this 24’’ multi-talent can be combined to build signage video walls, wide modular ribbon displays or artistic installations.
In conclusion, the show was a huge success for both NEC and our partners. Even the less visible technology behind the screens – sensors, scalable computing and modular capability for instance, was well received as NEC’s comprehensive technology offering harmonised to meet the needs of today’s smart and demanding users.
