"Growing Solutions" – NEC Competence Day 2010

NEC Display Solutions presents trends and new products for the success-oriented customer

Munich, 13 September 2010 – NEC Display Solutions invites to its Competence Day on 7 October 2010 under the motto "Growing Solutions". The networking and expert forum, which has established itself as a regular event in the industry's calendar, will be held in the impressive surroundings of the Kameha Grand Hotel in Bonn. Together with its partners, NEC Display Solutions will showcase its portfolio of innovative display and projection solutions within complex theme areas such as Digital Signage, Pro AV, Education, Corporate, Healthcare and Colour Management. Presentations and examples of best practice will also provide information on trends and visions of the future as seen by experts.

NEC Display Solutions will be using concrete solution scenarios extending over 2,500 square metres of exhibition area to demonstrate how displays and projectors can be effectively and profitably deployed for the benefit of the customer. In the educational field, for example, the focus will on interactive whiteboards as a complete solution. Their versatile technology can be used to present course content in an optimum manner to increase motivation and learning efficiency. In addition, visitors can expect to see the latest 3D applications, making for vivid and effective lessons.

The efficient network management and monitoring of projection solutions are at the centre of the Pro AV theme area. Besides further developments in its Stacking Solution, NEC Display Solutions will be presenting, among other things, a new series of projectors.

Digital Signage will be another main topic at the NEC Competence Day. In addition to completely new solutions, NEC Display Solutions will for the first time introduce the follow-up to the successful NEC MultiSync ® X461UN, a 46-inch LC public display with an extremely narrow frame for impressive video wall installations. Among its features is even distribution of brightness. Visitors will also learn everything about the Multeos series models, primarily intended for optically demanding fields of application, about V-series Digital Signage entry-level models, and about high-end P-series public displays.

This year the field of corporate desktop displays is dominated by the optimised workplace. Visitors will see the already successful models of the NEC MultiSync ® EA series and a new, innovative series of displays with which NEC Display Solutions will be setting new standards in the corporate segment.

The NEC SpectraView ® Reference 241 and 271 monitors, which can be hardware-calibrated, recently passed the test to become Fogra PreCert Class A monitors. They are the centrepiece of the Colour Management theme area proving that maximum colour accuracy is no longer utopic.

NEC Display Solutions will be presenting the latest MDview-series LCD monitors, designed specifically to meet the requirements of the healthcare sector. Their generous screen dimensions with side-by-side display possibilities make work even more effective without compromising excellent and detailed picture quality.

The NEC Competence Day will take place in the Kameha Grand Bonn on 7 October 2010.
