Flagship 27-inch EA273WM wide screen display delivers control sync features for multi monitor use
NEC Display Solutions launches EA Series next generation displays to boost productivity
Munich, 23 November 2011 – NEC Display Solutions Europe has announced the launch of the new generation EA Series of displays, designed to meet the demands of Corporates and Government Offices for future ready design, extended input options and rich features.
With performance and quality as key factors, the new EA Series is designed to be ergonomic, versatile and lightweight. The wide format screen (16:9) provides more workspace for multiple/side-by-side applications. Its ergonomic design with improved 130mm height adjustability ensures perfect user setup. Furthermore it can be swivelled, tilted and pivoted. A new Control Sync function of the display enables multi-monitor OSD adjustment synchronisation: when the master monitor setting is adjusted, the setting is automatically sent to all slave monitors and individual customised settings can be restored at the touch of a button. The new display also comes with a completely redesigned, clean and useful cable management, minimising the visibility of cables.
The flagship MultiSync ® EA273WM model will herald the series. The 27-inch wide TN TFT LED Backlit panel delivers trusted picture quality, while ensuring that power consumption is kept to a minimum – less than 0.5W in power saving mode. In keeping with NEC’s Green Vision , the EA Series delivers performance with less material and packaging consumed, less waste produced, less harmful substances and less energy required for transportation. This goal is reached by using recycled plastics in production, free of hazardous materials such as mercury and arsenic.
Integrated features of the MultiSync ® EA273WM include a human sensor, which detects user activity in front of the monitor and reduces its power down when the user steps away from their desk. Similarly, the monitor’s brightness can be automatically adjusted by a built-in ambient light sensor – which detects external light conditions – and an auto brightness function – which checks the display content and adjusts the brightness accordingly.
Despite being thin and light, the flagship EA273WM boasts a 16:9 resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a stunning 300cd/m 2 brightness for crisp text, bright colours and pure imagery. Full connectivity is also assured with DisplayPort, D-sub, DVI-I and HDMI ports available.
The EA273WM’s remarkable design was recognised as a winner by the judges of the prestigious iF Design Awards 2012 . Since 1953, iF has invited international manufacturers and designers to enter their products in the iF Design Awards, establishing itself as a symbol for outstanding design work. Availability, price and warranty
The MultiSync ® EA273WM will be available beginning of December 2011. Other EA Series models will be released over the following months. Each unit includes the display, power cord, user manual on CD-ROM, DVI-DVI cable, VGA-VGA cable, USB cable, Audio cable and Control Sync cable. NEC Display Solutions Europe offers a three-year pan-European service warranty including the backlight.
