Enhanced features deliver greater performance and eco innovation

NEC Display Solutions refreshes M Series projector portfolio

Munich, 26 November 2012 – NEC Display Solutions Europe has announced several new additions to its popular M Series range of projectors, further raising the bar in quality and performance to meet growing customer demand.

Adding to the existing superb range, education and business professionals will be able to benefit from a host of improvements such as higher brightness and contrast ratios and lower noise levels. The lamp life has been extended up to 10,000 hours and new iOS App called NEC Wireless Image Utility allows to do wireless presentations from your iPhone or iPad.

The five new models with XGA (1024x768) and WXGA (1280×800) resolution, range from 2700 up to 3600 ANSI lumens and feature the same powerful 1.7x optical zoom as their predecessors. This provides large flexibility in positioning them in the room and reduces installation cost when replacing older ceiling mounted projectors.

For education professionals in particular, the added support for DisplayNote Presenter can turn any M Series projector into a tablet-based whiteboard solution and enable a new generation of interactive learning. Customers buying M Series projectors (amongst others) will get a DisplayNote Presenter licence for free.

In keeping with NEC's Green Vision and for even lower total cost of ownership, the new M Series projectors all feature several compelling eco-friendly benefits. This includes the extended lamp life of 10,000 hours. Furthermore, they boast a standby power consumption of just 0.4W and one-touch Eco buttons on the remote and projector enable several eco-modes that reduce power consumption and extend the life of the projector. Combined with current features such as a carbon meter, auto power off and remote and network timer functions, make these projectors very kind to the environment, and cut energy bills.

The flagship model of the new range, the NEC M311W, is also TCO certified, meaning it meets stringent requirements for environment, energy, social responsibility and image performance, as well as being guaranteed to reproduce excellent images to a maximum projected image size.

Availability and warranty
The updated M Series range of projectors will start rolling out from November 2012. NEC Display Solutions Europe offers a three-year pan-European service warranty and the lamp is covered for six months or 1,000 hours, whichever comes first. Education customers can register to have the warranty extended to 3,000 hours.
