Enhanced range combines colour critical accuracy and optimum productivity for creative professionals

NEC Display Solutions updates entire SpectraView ® Series with multiple models

Munich, 26 September 2013 – NEC Display Solutions Europe is announcing the launch of five updated display models to its SpectraView ^® and SpectraView ^® Reference Series, bolstering its offering for creative professionals working across colour critical applications. In addition, all SpectraView ^® Reference products now enjoy a comprehensive 5-year warranty as standard.

In creative industries such as graphic design, pre-press proofing and photo-editing, the demands on professionals are ever increasing as companies recognise the importance of accurate colour to a business. From delivering true-to-life photography for retail catalogues, to protecting a brand’s colours across corporate material, the right display is vital for an effective colour management process to ensure work appears exactly as intended.

One of five new models to the updated range - the SpectraView ^® Reference 242 display - leads the way with the best high-performance 10-bit AH-IPS with GB-R LED backlight for wide gamut colour, deep blacks and minimal colour shift. Best brightness uniformity together with features such as backlight ageing correction, ensure perfect colour control for consistent image quality. Thanks to its picture-by-picture function, users can view two images from different data sources simultaneously, to enhance productivity and save space compared with dual-screen alternatives.

NEC’s updated high-end professional displays offer accurate colour reproduction with features from a wide colour gamut, to ensure all colour nuances can be seen by the eye, to digital uniformity control, enabling colour confidence from every viewing angle. These features combined with productivity enhancing options such as multi-platform are working to make the enhanced SpectraView ^® and SpectraView ^® Reference Series the ideal choice for serious professionals that cannot afford to compromise on colour.

As well as delivering optimum colour performance, the ergonomically built displays are suitable for long and intensive working periods to increase the productivity of users in the creative profession.

The flexible connectivity offered with the updated screens, through four inputs, ensures users’ investments are future-proofed. In line with NEC’s Green Vision environmentally friendly features such as an LED backlight reduces carbon and energy consumption, which also translates to cost savings.

The NEC SpectraView ^® 242 and SpectraView ^® Reference 242 are both available across Europe from the end of September. The SpectraView 272 and SpectraView Reference 272 will be available from mid-November, with the SpectraView Reference 302 coming from mid-December.
