Leading with quality

For more than a half century, this family-owned company has been a leading manufacturer of temperature control systems with “made in Germany” quality. JULABO also relies on high-quality digitaltechnology, with products from NEC Display Solutions.

From refrigerated and heating circulators, to recirculating coolers and water baths for laboratories and industrial applications – since 1967, the name JULABO has stood for high-quality, reliable and high-performance temperature control technology, made in Germany. With around 450 employees worldwide, more than 100 distribution partners and eleven global branch offices, the long-standing company based in Seelbach (Baden-Württemberg) supplies customers in many different sectors.

The Challenge

When it comes to presentation, JULABO is just as ambitious as it is in developing its temperature controlled solutions: “When the company turned 50, we decided to construct the new administration building, with state-of-the-art technology, of course,” explains Alexander Hundertpfund, Head of Marketing & PR at JULABO.

Specifically, the designs for the new building focused primarily on the entrance area, which was to be equipped with the latest media technology.

The plans also included a customer centre, where conferences and meetings could take place, as well as newly designed meeting rooms for the executive board and sales offices on the upper floors.

 

The NEC Solution

Hundertpfund explains in detail: “Together with our implementation partner KONFERENZRAUM.TV, we decided to use technology from NEC Display Solutions to enable us to meet the customer’s diverse requirements.”

According to Hundertpfund, the crucial factor in this decision was that KONFERENZRAUM.TV had already achieved excellent results in the past by using video walls, large monitors and projectors from NEC Display Solutions. “We wanted technologies from a single source and uniform operation for all equipment in all rooms, in order to avoid having to think about how the equipment would work every time,” says Hundertpfund.

“The video wall is a real eye-catcher”

For the official move into the new building, JULABO finally had highly professional presentation equipment to meet all its display requirements. As a result, employees of the temperature control expert from the Black Forest community are now able to conveniently control all the new NEC devices via tablet. A real eye-catcher is the three-by-three metre video wall used in the entrance area. It’s made up of nine 46-inch displays and is used to draw the attention of customers entering the main building to JULABO’s different products and technologies. “We can use this huge wall to prepare and present a great deal of content in a large-sized, multimedia format,” says Hundertpfund.

In the meeting rooms, the long-established company relies on three large-format MultiSync® C751Q displays. They improve the quality of meetings with high-resolution UHD images. With their slim bezels and modern design, they fit in perfectly with the interior design of the new administration building. In addition, a PA653U installation projector with an NP41ZL interchangeable lens ensures brilliant presentations in the conference room.

The Results

Hundertpfund’s initial impression: “The video wall in the entrance area is a real eye-catcher and impresses everyone, not just our visitors.” A success, which is why the steadily growing company will most likely turn to NEC again when further expansion is needed in the administration building. According to Hundertpfund, the NEC displays will provide a lot of advantages in the new offices too: “After the outstanding cooperation, it is extremely likely that we will rely on components from NEC Display Solutions there as well.”
