For our Engineering, Quality Assurance & Service department at our European Distribution Centre in Amsterdam, NL, close to Schiphol-Airport, we are seeking two
Component Repair and Refurbishment Engineers (m/f/d) for our Digital Cinema Product Range
Component Repair and Refurbishment comprises Evaluation, Disassembly, Cleaning, Reassembly and Alignment of Digital Cinema projector components such as opto-electrical parts or Laser-Light-Sources as part of a repair and refurbishment process.
In this role, you will be part of a small team and will also have to work well under your own initiative. The role is process based, working to high specifications and tolerances for cleaning, assembly, and alignment. These tasks will be performed in a combination of workshop, cleanroom, and darkroom environments. A professional background working with optical alignment would be beneficial, but not compulsory as full training will be provided. The role is based in Amsterdam, initial training will be provided in the UK and the Netherlands.
Your tasks
- Evaluation of digital cinema prism assemblies
- Diagnosis of optical and electronic faults
- Mechanical disassembly and reassembly of prisms assemblies and housings
- Precise optical cleaning and alignment
- UV Bonding
- Testing refurbished prism assemblies in cinema projectors and Quality Control
- Set-up of repair equipment and calibration
- Contribute to the set-up of a Laser refurbishment Program within an extended team
- Other technical service work if required
Your profile
- Qualifications in electronics, electrical/mechanical/optical as a technician
- Relevant experiences in a comparable field in B2B
- Quality orientated with high attention to detail
- Capable to work independently but also an in a team
- Problem solving attitude
- Technical hands-on experience
- Good communication skills
- Microsoft Office proficient
