Welcome to a whole new world of visualisation

NEC Display Solutions will present the next generation of display and projection systems at ISE 2011

Munich, 13 December 2010 – NEC Display Solutions will showcase a comprehensive portfolio of display and projection systems at next year's Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) in Amsterdam. From 1 - 3 February 2011, trade visitors will be able to experience solutions consisting of LCD public and desktop displays, LED modules, powerful projectors and software applications at stands N42 and O42 in hall 4. Practice-related scenarios from different vertical fields such as Digital/Retail Signage, hotels and restaurants, education, transportation and airport, conferencing and control room facilities will demonstrate the many types of visual possibilities.

Occupying a total exhibition area of 300 m², conference room technology will be given special emphasis. NEC will be presenting a new projector series from the fixed-installation field which will reach the market in the course of next year. The P-series models can be positioned flexibly thanks to their lens shift and wide zoom lens functions and, with their comprehensive networking features, can be integrated easily into existing IT infrastructures. A USB viewer for images, video clips, PowerPoint presentations or PDF documents allows presentations to be made directly without complex configuration. Especially for large rooms such as halls and auditoriums the PA-series professional LCD installation projectors and the PX-series DLP models (1 chip, dual lamp systems), which are ideal for long operating times, will be introduced. Both product series offer extreme levels of brightness of up to 6000 and 8000 ANSI lumens respectively as well as, for the first time, WUXGA resolution (1920 x 1200 pixels). In addition, NEC Display Solutions will demonstrate 3-chip DLP solutions for high-end applications.

In the area of Digital and Retail Signage the main focus will be on LED technology. The MultiSync ® X551UN, a 55-inch public display with LED backlight technology, will be on show for the first time. It is particularly suited to video wall installations since LEDs offer more even illumination over the entire screen surface than conventional CCFL backlights. Trade visitors will also see the new high-end models NEC MultiSync ® X461S and X551S, each with LED backlighting. In contrast to competitors, who use TV panels, NEC equips these with professional public display panels. This means that it can meet the especially high demands with regard to brightness and reliability in the field of advertising and promotion.

In addition, to simplify the integration of expansion modules, NEC will be showing displays with OPS (X461S, X551S and X551UN) and OPS based PCs. The new OPS (Open Pluggable Specification) industry standard was developed in collaboration with Intel.

Another product line using LED technology are the LED modules for video wall solutions including modules for indoor and outdoor installations with 6mm and 15mm respectively. The LED modules are ideal for creating mobile video walls and for fixed installations where the highest performance is demanded.

A second video wall solution will be presented in a control room scenario using NEC MultiSync ® X462UN monitors in combination with the video wall software Hiperwall. Hiperwall allows individual content such as images from different surveillance cameras or operating status information from a large industrial plant to be freely positioned, enlarged or scaled down. Furthermore, the 46-inch “ultra narrow” displays are also extremely reliable and durable for mission critical applications. They are ideal for use in the transportation sector and at airports as well as Digital Signage with long operating hours and a need for high brightness.

A quick-serve restaurant display environment will show what customerinformation could look like in the field of catering. Menus on offer can be presented in a clear manner on small video wall installations made up of NEC MultiSync ® X461UNV public displays. As a supplementary source of information, NEC MultiSync ® X431BT “BarType” monitors can inform customers about daily specials and promotions. Their slim design makes them extremely flexible for a large number of installation types in places that have previously been difficult to access such as pillars or shelves. NEC will be showing just how creative this can be with its own signage system on the stand.

3D technology, making presentation content more vivid and realistic, will be indispensable for the classroom or meeting room of the future. There will be numerous potential applications on show at the ISE, including the ultra short-throw U-series projectors combined with interactive whiteboards. The 3D-ready models allow presentations in the most limited of space thanks to the short distance of less than 25 cm between projector and projection surface. Shadows and glare are now a thing of the past.

NEC Display Solutions will be at ISE in Amsterdam from 1 - 3 February 2011: hall 4, stand numbers N42 and O42.
