NEC Display Solutions adds eco-friendly 19- and 20-inch models to corporate display portfolio with LED backlights
Munich, 26 November 2010 – NEC Display Solutions launches two new energy-saving monitors: the 20” NEC MultiSync ® E201W in 16:9 format and the 19” NEC MultiSync ® EA192M in 5:4 format. The new models offer LED backlight, DisplayPort connectivity and full adjustability. Low power consumption and low operating costs make the displays perfect for use in the professional office environment. Their outstanding ergonomic qualities and intelligent features such as the Ambient Light Sensor make them very user-friendly and help to increase productivity.
Consuming considerably less power thanks to LED backlight technology, the displays set a new standard in environmental compatibility. The Ambient Light Sensor, which is incorporated into both models, serves to increase energy saving even further. The sensor measures the ambient light and adjusts the screen to the optimum brightness automatically without any manual settings being required. NEC Display Solutions also ensures that ecological considerations are maintained during the manufacture of the displays. The use of recycling plastic for the monitor housing and of mercury-free materials fulfils the exacting demands of the “NEC Green Vision” campaign.
The screens can be easy adapted to individual needs and requirements by adjusting the height of the display by up to 110 mm. The pivot function allows the screen to be viewed in landscape or portrait format.
Equipped with DisplayPort – the digital connector of the future, a DVI-D and a D-Sub interface, the two monitors provide a wide range of connectivity options. The NEC MultiSync ® EA192M also has integrated speakers and a headphone socket for multimedia applications.

Availability, price and warranty
The NEC MultiSync ® EA192M and MultiSync ® E201W will be commercially available as from November 2010 in black. In addition, the NEC MultiSync ® EA192M will be available in a white version with silver front frame as from April 2011. The package includes a power cable, one analogue and one digital signal cable, a manual and an installation and driver CD-ROM. NEC Display Solutions Europe offers a three-year warranty including backlights.
