Simply controlled via LAN – the NEC MultiSync® V series
New public displays for the digital signage entry-level segment
Munich, 9 February 2010 – With the NEC MultiSync ® V321 and V461 NEC Display Solutions is launching the first two models in the V series onto the market. The successors to the NEC MultiSync ® xx15 series come equipped with a high-quality S-PVA panel and offer pioneering control options via LAN in addition to RS232. An HDMI interface also ensures outstanding multimedia connectivity. In view of their features and excellent price/performance ratio, the large-format LC displays are ideal for the entry-level digital and retail signage segment.
The V series of course offers all the advantages of its predecessor models for a successful transition from classical advertising to digital, large-format display solutions. New features such as the HDMI interface or network control also provide even greater quality. Users can now control and keep an eye on monitors easily over the network via the LAN connection, giving them greater flexibility and ease of use compared to conventional, RS232-based controls.
Compatibility with all other NEC public display series regarding OSD structure and RS232 / LAN commands is also assured with the new V series, markedly increasing the user’s investment protection. The innovative NEC overheating protection guarantees smooth operation and a long service life for the display. A built-in sensor automatically measures the internal temperature and activates integrated fans if the maximum value is exceeded.
The V series therefore meets all the requirements for simple to medium digital and retail signage applications in which the displays do not operate for 24 hours at a stretch or are designed for mobile use. With the free and novice-friendly NEC Digital Signage software, NEC Display Solutions is also supplementing its entry-level series with a professional solution for creating and displaying informative content. Audio-visual messages and self-created ticker reports can be transferred to the LC display quickly and easily, for instance in hotel lobbies or in store windows.
Availability and price
The NEC MultiSync ® V321 and V461 are commercially available as from now. NEC Display Solutions Europe offers a three-year warranty including backlights.
