NEC Display Solutions adds a new 46-inch public display to its successful MultiSync® X series

Munich, 6 October 2010 – With the NEC MultiSync ® X461UNV NEC Display Solutions introduces, to it’s X series range, a new value 46-inch public display with an extremely narrow bezel for impressive video wall installations. The NEC MultiSync ® X461UNV is a highly cost efficient solution ideally suited for video walls in the retail trade, in the hotel and catering sector and in conference rooms where continuous display operation and high brightness is not required. The large option portfolio which includes built-in PCs, various mounting solutions, a colour calibration kit and other useful accessories make it a complete and easy to install video wall product .
With its excellent networking features such as SNMP* support, an extra standard networking protocol, users benefit from efficient management and monitoring options via the network in addition to the free of charge NEC LAN control software. The built-in, temperature controlled fans which are inactive in standard environments can be controlled by the user and allow for easy heat management in more demanding installations without further external ventilation .
Individual displays can be combined into groups and managed directly, which enables the user to address multiple screens with a single command. In combination with TileMatrix per input, this allows content design to be more varied and flexible at the touch of a button. The ambient light sensor guarantees that optimum brightness is automatically maintained at all times, reducing power consumption to the absolute minimum and enhancing the public display's usability .
With regard to connectivity, the NEC MultiSync ® X461UNV has an impressive range of connection options that include a state-of-the-art DisplayPort as well as DVI-D, HDMI and analogue interfaces.

The NEC MultiSync ® X461UNV is now commercially available in black. It is supplied with a factory brightness calibration of 450 cd/m 2 . NEC Display Solutions offers a complete solution tailored to the size of the video wall to be installed, consisting of displays, the appropriate NEC Option Slot modules for signal transmission, as well as the appropriate wall-mounting brackets. In addition, each display wall comes with its own control solution, consisting of sensor module, a 3.5 mm jack signal cable, as well as a remote control unit. Included in the overall package are a VGA cable, a power cable, and a CD-ROM with operating instructions. NEC Display Solutions Europe offers a three year guarantee for its displays including the backlight .
