NEC Display Solutions launches LED-backlit MultiSync ® EX201W super slim LCD display
Munich, 01 September 2011 – NEC Display Solutions Europe has announced the latest addition to its Office Cool portfolio with the launch of the MultiSync ® EX201W, delivering an ultra slim, compact and light weight display, perfect for the modern office environment.
With flexibility and usability front of mind for many of today’s demanding corporates, the Office Cool range of displays, and the EX201W in particular, is designed to be ergonomic, versatile and lightweight. This makes it ideal for receptions, check-in areas or informal meeting rooms.
The EX201W boasts advanced usability thanks to full ergonomics with 110mm height adjustment, swivel, tilt and pivot. Easy installation is guaranteed thanks to an integrated carry handle, L-shape touch sensor navigation keys for adjustments and optional carry bag and picture frame stand. The optional carry bag and photo frame stand are available for the entire EX product range from September 2011.
The 20-inch wide TN TFT LED Backlit panel delivers trusted picture quality, while ensuring that power consumption is kept to a minimum and that no mercury is used in its production. In keeping with NEC’s Green Vision , the MultiSync ® EX Series delivers performance with less material and packaging consumed, less waste produced, less harmful substances and less energy required for transportation.
Integrated features of the MultiSync ® EX201W include the human sensor, which detects user activity in front of the monitor and reduces its power down when the user steps away from their desk. Similarly, the monitor’s brightness can be automatically adjusted by a built-in ambient light sensor – which detects external light conditions – and an auto brightness function – which checks the display content and adjusts the brightness accordingly.
Despite being thin and light, the EX201W has a resolution of 1600 x 900, a 25,000:1 dynamic contract ratio (1,000:1 typical), a stunning 250cd/m 2 brightness for crisp text, bright colours and pure imagery. Full connectivity is also assured with both DisplayPort and DVI-I ports available.

Availability and warranty
The EX201W will be available starting in September 2011. Each unit includes the display, power cord, user manual on CD-ROM, DVI-DVI cable, DVI-VGA cable, USB cable and AC Adaptor. NEC Display Solutions Europe offers a three-year pan-European service warranty including the backlight.
