Ultra-thin 22-inch wide screen LED display with ideal combination of design and features for office use

NEC Display Solutions rounds out new EA Series with EA223WM release

Munich, 11 April 2012 – NEC Display Solutions Europe has announced the launch of the NEC MultiSync ^® EA223WM , the latest addition to its popular new EA Series of displays, designed to meet the demands of Corporates and Government Offices for future ready design, extended input options and rich features.

A 22-inch display is the ideal size for the average office users and the new EA223WM boasts an extremely thin LED backlight panel which results in an ultra-modern and slim design in combination with a premium feature set for the corporate office use. Furthermore, the wide format screen (16:10) provides more workspace for multiple/side-by-side applications and the ability to height adjust up to 130 mm, swivel, tilt and pivot the display means it can be easily configured to every user's individual needs.

With performance and quality as key factors, the new EA Series is designed to be ergonomic, versatile and lightweight, and the latest addition meets these criteria perfectly. The new display also comes with a completely redesigned, clean and useful cable management, minimising the visibility of cables and the integrated speakers, headphone jack and USB hub complete the elegant and efficient design.

Drawing less than 0.5W in power saving mode and only 12W in Eco Mode, power consumption of the MultiSync ^® EA223WM is kept to a minimum. In keeping with NEC’s Green Vision , the entire EA Series delivers performance with less material and packaging consumed, less harmful substances and less energy required for transportation.

As with its counterparts, integrated features of the MultiSync ^® EA223WM include a human sensor, which detects user activity in front of the monitor and reduces its power down when the user steps away from their desk. Similarly, the monitor’s brightness can be automatically adjusted by a built-in ambient light sensor – which detects external light conditions – and an auto brightness function – which checks the display content and adjusts the brightness accordingly. A new ControlSync function is an innovative control and setting solution for your multiple display installations that enables multi-monitor OSD adjustment synchronisation: when the master monitor setting is adjusted, the setting is automatically sent to all slave monitors and individual customised settings can be restored at the touch of a button.

The LED backlit panel used in the EA223WM delivers a 16:10 resolution of 1680 x 1050 and a stunning 250cd/m ² brightness for crisp text, bright colours and pure imagery. All common office connectivity is also assured with DisplayPort, D-sub and DVI-D ports available.

Availability, price and warranty
The NEC MultiSync ^® EA223WM comes in black or white and will be available from April 2012. Each unit includes the display, power cord, user manual on CD-ROM, DVI-DVI cable, VGA-VGA cable, USB cable, Audio cable and ControlSync cable. NEC Display Solutions Europe offers a three-year pan-European service warranty including the backlight.
