Image accurate desktop displays meet demanding professionals’ needs while minimising environmental impact

NEC Display Solutions extends professional excellence for mission-critical applications through three LCD desktop displays

Munich, 26 July 2013 – NEC Display Solutions Europe today announces the addition of three high performance displays to its PA Series desktop range. The professional LCD desktop displays 24” MultiSync® PA242W, 27” MultiSync® PA272W and 30” MultiSync® PA302W feature 10-bit AH-IPS with latest GB-R LED backlight technology to deliver uncompromising image quality for visually demanding applications.

The MultiSync® PA242W, MultiSync® PA272W and MultiSync® PA302W combine outstanding AdobeRGB colour reproduction, 10-bit AH-IPS technology and the latest screen uniformity and backlight stabilisation, which ensure accurate, reliable and stable images for professionals carrying out visual work.

The professional desktop displays are built with a mercury-free GB-R LED backlight, which provides a wider colour gamut (more than from a conventional white LED backlight), a longer lifetime than older legacy CCFL systems and finally generates considerable energy savings.

Suitable for applications where accurate colour, consistent imaging and reliable viewing is necessary such as satellite imaging, video and photographic editing, precision engineering and broadcasting, the monitors offer a discrete but robust design with a fully ergonomic stand for added comfort of use during long and intensive working periods.

This offers an important productivity benefit to industry segments such as advanced scientific analysis, satellite imaging, geological exploration, professional photography and engineering design (CAD-CAM) where image clarity and colour accuracy together play a mission-critical role."

Features such as DisplaySync Pro, which allows easy multi-platform support via the built-in USB hub and Picture-by-Picture functionality, enables users to view two images from different data sources simultaneously without the need for a second keyboard, mouse or screen, helping to improve productivity and reduce desk clutter.

In line with NEC’s Green Vision the MultiSync® PA242W, MultiSync® PA272W and MultiSync® PA302W feature a built-in carbon savings metre to promote responsible energy consumption. The Ambient Light Sensor, which adjusts the brightness of the monitor to environmental brightness conditions, optimises energy usage and provides an ergonomic brightness level.

Availability and warranty
The NEC MultiSync® PA242W will be available from August 2013 onwards. The NEC MultiSync® PA272W and PA302W will be available to purchase from September 2013. The three displays each come with a three-year warranty including the backlight as standard.
