Winner to receive €15,000 worth of NEC Display Solutions technology to outfit their learning institution

NEC Display Solutions launches competition for schools to upgrade their classroom

Munich, 15 September 2011 - NEC Display Solutions Europe has launched a competition to give five lucky European schools a €15,000 display technology makeover.

With its long heritage in the education sector , NEC Display Solutions offers teachers, professors and trainers intelligent, simple and flexible visual solutions for an optimum presentation of the learning content even for a large number of participants, providing the basis for boosting learning efficiency. This ensures pupils are more engaged and enhances their learning experience.

Those schools that feel their classrooms could do with an upgrade can enter the competition by sending a video to NEC - under the theme of ‘Why does our School need to upgrade the classroom?’ - depicting their technology-deficient classroom. The video must be no longer than five minutes and must be submitted by 30 November 2011.

NEC will select the winners in January 2012 and the schools will get a choice of €15,000 of NEC Display Solutions products each to outfit their classrooms.

Models include Ultra Short Throw solutions with integrated whiteboard mounts, Multi-Purpose Eco Projection Solutions, 3D Projection packages and high brightness systems ideal for larger venues. High quality desktop displays for classrooms and offices and public displays for delivering messages to the entire institution are also available.

"NEC has consistently provided cutting edge projection solutions for the education sector, backed by strong ecological standards. This competition gives an opportunity to showcase these abilities and help a school in need to move to the head of the class with high-tech display products,” said Klaus Auerboeck, Director Product Management Projectors at NEC Display Solutions Europe.

“With everything covered from entry level value displays to installation models and ultra short throw projectors through to auditorium solutions we can support most education display requirements. We have also developed our own complimentary software solutions supplied with our products to simplify control and maintenance of your NEC projectors or compensate for lost remote controls.”

The competition is open to any registered learning institution within the European Union. Entry videos can be uploaded at the following website - www.nec-display-solutions.com/educampaign
