The third dimension arrives at BETT 2011

NEC Display Solutions will be showcasing education solutions for the digital classroom of the future

Munich, 23 November 2010 – NEC Display Solutions will be presenting its forward-looking education solution portfolio at the British Educational Training and Technology (BETT) Show being held from the 12 th to the 15 th of January 2011 in London. NEC will be exhibiting in the Grand Hall, booth E90 where trade visitors will experience its complete range of leading edge education display solutions including ultra-short throw and 3D projection technology combined with interactive whiteboards. NEC Display Solutions will demonstrate its commitment to increasing productivity whilst maintaining ecological awareness in line with the company’s Green Vision campaign.

The world’s largest educational technology event this year will be the showplace of intelligent education solutions supporting teachers and presenters in communicating information vividly and efficiently to their pupils and students. NEC Display Solutions will be showcasing award winning TCO certified projectors and LCD displays for all application areas in the education sector – ranging from lobbies to equipment for primary and secondary schools as well as for lecture halls.

Visitors will see M-series projectors with advanced eco features helping to protect the environment and also to substantially lower operating costs. Also on show the new ultra-short throw U-series models. These new projectors can be used at a distance of less than 25 cm between the cabinet and a 77”/87” whiteboard completely eliminating the issue of shadowing and glare. This enables users to present in classrooms without requiring a lot of space, removing the problems of lamp glare and allowing improved access and use of interactive whiteboards. The additional benefit of the U-series is their 3D capability making schools ready for the digital classroom of the future.

In addition to its outstanding projector range NEC will be exhibiting Digital Signage solutions, including a video wall installation consisting of NEC MultiSync ® X462UN public displays. These monitors, with an extremely narrow bezel, provide NEC’s unique EdgeComp technology, an innovative function for the even distribution of brightness over the entire screen surface. This enhances the picture quality especially of bright contents like the white background of a presentation.

A further highlight will be the MultiSync ® EX231W. With this innovative 23 inch monitor NEC Display Solutions sets new standards in design and features for desktop displays with exceptionally low environmental impact thanks to LED backlight technology and other new eco features such as a human sensor.

“The teacher’s challenge is to improve the way pupils or students can easily assimilate knowledge,” says Stefanie Corinth, Vice President Marketing & Business Development EMEA at NEC Display Solutions Europe. “We are proud to offer state-of-the-art product solutions, which enables the development of new teaching concepts making schools ready for the digital requirements of the future.”
