Outstanding image quality with low power consumption

NEC Display Solutions combines IPS panel and LED technology in its new corporate display

Munich, 1 December 2010 – NEC Display Solutions is launching the new MultiSync ® EA232WMi, an update of its successful 23-inch display with IPS technology. Introducing new features like LED backlight and Ambient Light Sensor further reduces the already low power consumption. In addition, the production out of recycled plastic and mercury-free materials means less harm to the environment. Thanks to its excellent IPS image quality with wide viewing angels in a 16:9 screen format and a dynamic contrast of 25.000:1 the monitor offers a high level of ergonomic comfort. This makes it ideal for advanced office applications and multiscreen solutions in medium-sized and large companies.

In line with NEC’s green vision, priority is given to the environmental compatibility of the improved version of the NEC MultiSync ® EA231WMi. In addition to the W-LED backlights, the display has energy-efficient functions such as the Ambient Light Sensor, which automatically adjusts screen brightness to the surroundings. The One Touch Eco Button switches the monitor to the electricity-saving eco mode at the touch of a button.

The connection options ensure leading-edge compatibility. With its USB hub, a DisplayPort, a DVI-D as well as an analogue interface, the NEC MultiSync ® EA232WMi provides outstanding connectivity and the optimum basis for all business applications. The display also features speakers and a headphone socket for comfortable office communication.

With height adjustment up to 110 mm and pivot function the screen can be positioned to meet individual needs and ensure a high degree of user-friendliness. Thanks to its ergonomic and ecological characteristics, the monitor has already gained the accolades of TCO 5.0 certification and the EPEAT Gold Seal.

“With the NEC MultiSync ® EA232WMi we are introducing a high end corporate display that really meets the increased demand from today’s companies,” explains Birgit Sommerer, Product Line Manager for Commercial Displays at NEC Display Solutions Europe. “The combination of excellent image quality, ergonomic comfort, low operating costs and environmental compatibility make the monitor one of the best in its class.“
