NEC to showcase digital cinema and digital signage expertise at CineEurope 2011

NEC highlights at CineEurope 2011

Munich, 21 June 2011 NEC Display Solutions Europe will be showcasing a range of innovative products and technologies at the CineEurope 2011 in Amsterdam, Holland from 27 – 30 June 2011: Hall 11 (Holland Hall) - Suite E.

Now in its 20 th year, the CineEurope convention and trade show is the longest running and most prestigious event for the European cinema exhibition and distribution communities, which brings together 2,500 cinema exhibition professionals from 60 countries to do business.

The film world is undergoing a technological revolution and the digitisation process continues to proceed quickly. This evolution is epitomised in NEC’s new 4K projector, which deliver a major step forward in the implementation process of digital cinema. The flagship NC3240S projector will be taking pride of place at NEC’s stand during CineEurope alongside the latest 2K resolution models. All of these projectors incorporate the premium picture quality, high innovation and best reliability in combination with low cost of ownership that cinemas expect from a brand such as NEC.

Also on display will be NEC’s latest digital signage and video wall solutions – perfect for showcasing trailers, upcoming shows, advertising and related media. In addition, on the stand will be the recently launched LED modules for high performance indoor and outdoor applications. Demonstrations will be available on the booth showcasing the benefits of a NEC service-based Network Operations Centre (NOC), including remote failure warnings, diagnosis and management.

The wide range of products and solutions on display highlights NEC’s leading position as a complete cinema display solution provider and a premium manufacturer in the market to offer customers a complete DLP cinema solution from one single source as well as all the ancillary display solutions they may require.

“CineEurope attracts the widest possible range of European theatre owners and operators, presenting the European theatrical industry with important information on new technologies, trends in the industry, upcoming films and speakers from the European Union,” said Gerd Kaiser, Product Line Manager Large Venue Projectors at NEC Display Solutions Europe.

“This event allows us, not only to showcase the expertise and range of advanced 4K and 2K cinema projector solutions, but also the digital signage solutions that NEC has to offer to the cinema industry to enhance the total cinema experience.”
