NEC Display Solutions launches MultiSync ® P241W professional IPS display

Munich, 06 September 2011 – NEC Display Solutions Europe has announced the launch of the MultiSync ^® P241W, delivering outstanding image quality and class-leading ergonomics for demanding professional applications.

This new 24-inch LCD display is the perfect upgrade for customers currently using conventional 19- to 21-inch displays and who need to cope with the exacting display requirements of environments such as CAD-CAM engineering, financial trading and semi-medical uses.

The P241W - with highly stable image viewing thanks to its In Plane Switching (IPS) technology - offers users working in image-critical environments the opportunity to take advantage of professional-grade desktop display benefits, straight from the box and at a reasonable price.

The thin and flat bezel is designed for ergonomic display tiling and, with a smooth 14-bit gamma image processing rendition and IPS panel delivering a 1920 x 1200 resolution display, ensures that users who spend hours at a time in front of their screens experience error-free working with minimal eye-strain and headaches.

Furthermore, features such as a DisplayPort connector, two DVI-D connectors, programmable integrated USB hub (3 down/2 up), Picture-in-Picture, DICOM preset, digital uniformity control and backlight ageing correction, combine to give advanced users all the flexibility and image quality needed to ensure the highest personal productivity.

In keeping with NEC’s Green Vision campaign, the P241W uses an arsenic free panel module in a cabinet made from recycled plastics and shipped in 100 per cent recyclable packaging. Similarly, the ambient light sensor, auto brightness function and NEC’s ECO Mode ensure power consumption is kept to a minimum.

Availability, price and warranty
The P241W will be available starting in September 2011. Each unit includes the display, power cord, user manual on CD-ROM, DVI-D-DVI-D cable, VGA-VGA cable, DisplayPort cable and USB cable. NEC Display Solutions Europe offers a three-year pan-European service warranty including the backlight.
