Four additions enhance value and boost expectations for entry-level customers
NEC Display Solutions overhauls MultiSync ® V Series public display range
Munich, 7 June 2011 – NEC Display Solutions Europe has unveiled several completely revamped public displays of its popular V Series, once again setting new standards in the entry-level segment, while adding new sizes such as 55- and 65-inch.
As well as incorporating all the same unique features as their predecessors - such as thermal management and remote management over LAN - the new V422, V462, V551 and flagship V651 have been slimmed down by as much as 23mm, have built-in speakers and have the ability to digitally daisy chain displays over DVI. All four of the new additions also feature NEC’s dual slot technology, which allows for the integration of single board computers and other option slot products based on the current NEC and new NEC/Intel OPS standard without the need to stow external equipment.
Measuring 42-, 46-, 55- and 65-inches respectively, the new V Series displays all support full HD content with a native resolution of 1920x1080 and a brightness of between 450cd/m 2 and 500 cd/m 2 . As well as a variety of analogue connection options, all four of the displays include DVI-D (with HDCP), HDMI 1.3 and DisplayPort connectors to ensure content can be delivered from a variety of sources. NEC also offers an optional calibration solution with a sensor and software so the display can be calibrated to perfect colour and brightness. This is vital for ensuring stand-alone displays deliver the most accurate and vibrant content.

Availability and warranty
The flagship V651 will be the first to become available to customers, and is set to launch in July 2011, followed by the V422 and V462 in August. The V551 will round out the new range with a scheduled arrival date of October 2011. Each unit includes a power cord, VGA cable, users manual on CD-ROM and quick setup guide. The LAN control software can also be downloaded freely. NEC Display Solutions Europe offers a three-year pan-European service warranty including the backlight.
