Sharp/NEC prioritises safety, security and sustainability at Passenger Terminal Expo 2025

Munich April 1, 2025 – Sharp NEC Display Solutions Europe will present its purpose-designed solutions for the aviation industry at Passenger Terminal Expo 2025 from 8 through 10 April 2025 in Madrid, Spain. As a trusted visual display provider to airports across the world, Sharp/NEC understands the significant challenges facing airport operators today and offers a range of energy efficient solutions for FIDS, wayfinding, advertising and control centres, which deliver dependable, mission-critical performance.
At PTE 2025, the Sharp MultiSync® M and P Series of professional large format displays will demonstrate the flexibility of Sharp/NEC’s modular design with customisable Raspberry Pi and Intel® SDM slot-in computing. Its custom-engineered computing solutions are powerful, scalable and secure, whilst providing universal compatibility with airport infrastructures. With a robust metal chassis, Sharp/NEC’s display solutions are heat resistant and compliant to fire safety standards making them safe for use in public spaces.
Cool to the touch, next-generation Flip-Chip SMD technology will evidence Sharp/NEC’s advances in energy efficient dvLED technology. With 60% lower power consumption at the same brightness, the Sharp LED-FE123 can significantly reduce operating costs whilst presenting high contrast content in vivid clarity, even in light flooded terminal buildings. Certified for EMC Class-B, airport operators are assured of safe operation without interference with other electronic devices.
The powerful IP-based Hiperwall 9.x video wall and distributed visualisation control system will be showcased in a control centre scenario demonstrating its impressive operator-centred versatility. Driving content to both dvLED and MultiSync® large format displays, visitors can see the unlimited scalability and flexibility of the Hiperwall system which provides failsafe resilience.
Further evidence of Sharp/NEC’s commitment to sustainable innovation can be seen in the multiple-award-winning Sharp ePaper display which has zero power demand when displaying content. Exhibited at PTE will be the 13” Sharp EP-C131 and the new A2 sized (28”) model to highlight ePaper’s significant potential for the carbon-neutral future of digital signage. Much like a poster, content appears brighter in high ambient light, displaying static images which can be updated instantly making it an appealing solution for check-in, wayfinding, or gate information.
