The NEC MediaPlayer Software is integrated in all MPi3 Bundles of the V-Series, as well as part of the MPi4 Bundles of the Message Series, and is also preinstalled on the Raspberry Pi compute modules. Straight out of the box, this modular SoC MediaPlayer provides an intuitive plug and play digital signage solution, easy to manage and capable of guiding the user to create powerful visual experiences. The internal 32GB onboard Memory allows for storage of large quantities of picture and video content.

The NEC MediaPlayer software operates on a single display or even connects multiple displays to an array within one network. The software and service is preinstalled and free of charge for the NEC customer.

Choose from a broad range of media formats with HTML5 browser support to facilitate creative content creation for different demands. With only one user friendly menu, manage both the NEC MediaPlayer and the display via a browser client or the NEC Display remote control, whichever is most convenient. Even first time users are quickly managing multiple media types, scheduling and distributing content.

Embedded within NEC’s ME, M, MA, C*,V and P series and UN video wall series of large format displays, the Raspberry Pi compute module provides long-lasting performance independent of the host display ensuring future-proof investment security. The latest Compute Module 4 offers 4GB RAM and a high level of performance headroom. Even within performance peaks this modular SoC remains silent, thanks to the passive cooling.

Full Streaming Integration

The NEC MediaPlayer further more allows streaming of information- and web-based digital signage content via UDP, HTTP or RTSP Stream, and is validated for the Matrox® Multichannel Encoders of the Maevex 6100-Series.

The NEC MediaPlayer offers digital signage installation companies and system integrators a high-quality, flexible and scalable AV End-to-End Streaming platform via LAN, WAN or the internet. The encoders of the Matrox Maevex 6100-Series are capable of delivering multiple 1080p60 streams in parallel. An intuitive remote management makes setup and control very easy. The NEC MediaPlayer and Maevex 6100-Series are using the same streaming-protocol support.
