NEC Display Solutions organises the first European event for Digital Signage, AV and Education
Munich, 24 November 2010 – In October 2010, against the impressive backdrop of the Hotel Oitavos, near Lisbon, the “NEC Display Trends Forum” was held for the very first time. NEC Display Solutions invited EMEA customers and partners from the fields of Digital Signage, AV and Education, as well as renowned speakers for high-level presentations with the latest news and information from the industry. There were various workshops for the visitors to attend and opportunities to network and exchange industry expert knowledge. Accompanied by a select programme of activities, the event was a truly splendid experience for everyone involved.
At the start of the event, the participants – namely 80 customers from a total of 23 countries in the EMEA region – enjoyed a 3D cinema presentation. NEC had installed a digital DLP Cinema ® projector at the venue, providing a remarkable first impression of the subject of pioneering technologies.
Following the keynote speech from Bernd Eberhardt, Managing Director NEC Display Solutions Europe, representatives of Meko and Future Source highlighted future trends in the field of display solutions. The experts credited 3D technology, LED installations, interactive solutions and the digital out-of-home industry in particular as being areas with especially great potential for growth.
Within the Digital Signage workshop, NEC Display Solutions unveiled the recent product highlights from its portfolio. Interactive signage solutions, the new LED modules and the NEC Built-in PC developed in collaboration with Intel for the NEC option slot were featured, along with many other innovative solutions.
In the AV and Education workshop, visitors learned all there is to know about the digital classroom and the fascinating technical possibilities that it now brings. NEC solutions tailored especially for the education sector include ultra short-throw and 3D projection technology as well as the new M Series projectors. The fashionably designed “Office Cool” display, the NEC MultiSync ® EX231W, was also presented – showing it as a superb eco-friendly display thanks to its efficient ECO features.
The comprehensive programme of events was rounded off with interesting presentations, such as on new Digital Signage standards or innovations that are shaping the market. The industry specialists from Future Source, Texas Instruments DLP ® Products , Meko, Intel, OVAB Europe and NEC Labs shared their expertise and ensured a brisk exchange of market information and trends.
