NEC Display Solutions will be presenting interactive display solutions for customer communications of the future at viscom 2010

Munich, 4 November 2010 – Together with partners from its Competence Network, NEC Display Solutions will be presenting its portfolio of Digital and Retail Signage applications at viscom 2010 in Frankfurt/Main from 4 – 6 November 2010. The NEC Stand is G15 in Hall 3.0 and this year the showplace for a large range of solutions for effective, modern customer communications. Trade visitors will experience interactive touch solutions for point of sale (POS), impressive video wall installations consisting of LCD public displays as well as the recently introduced LED modules. NEC Display Solutions will also be exclusively showing its new high-end MultiSync ® X461S public display with LED backlight. Also on show for the first time will be the new NEC Built-in PC, based on a new option slot standard which NEC has collaborated with Intel to develop.

With an impressive stand of 45 m², NEC Display Solutions will this year again be the exhibitor with the most comprehensive portfolio of display and projector solutions for Digital and Retail Signage applications in the market. NEC has enhanced its portfolio with the introduction of their LED Video Wall Solution. The solution consists of modules suitable for either indoor or outdoor spaces that require very high brightness and reliability. Trade visitors to viscom will experience the LED Video Wall Solution in the form of a 6 mm pixel pitch indoor installation.

Also showcased will be the 46” LED backlight model of the MultiSync ® X series, which were only announced at the beginning of September. In contrast to equipment already available from competitors with integrated TV panels, the new models feature professional display panels that meet the exacting brightness and reliability requirements demanded by these applications. They will be presented in combination with an integrated PC for the NEC option slot that was the first to be designed based on NEC / Intel's new OPS (open pluggable specification) industry standard. In future this will simplify the integration of expansion modules for the relevant display devices and promote the variety of options on offer.

NEC's joint trade fair presence with partners from its Competence Network underlines the theme of interactive customer communications. A touch overlay from Interactive Display GmbH turns the NEC MultiSync ® P701 70-inch high-end public display into an interactive shop window solution. For example, passers-by can obtain detailed information on products on offer by controlling the content of the display integrated into the shop window with their fingers. What other multi-sensory concepts are possible with the new discipline of neuro-merchandising – a combination of in-store marketing and neurosciences – will be presented by NEC's partner Sovato / MCE using innovative touch solutions.

A further highlight will be a video wall installation consisting of 3 x 3 NEC MultiSync ® X462UN public displays with a resolution of 4080 x 2304 pixels. With NEC’s unique EdgeComp technology, these monitors with an extremely narrow frame provide a new function for the even distribution of brightness over the entire screen surface. The advantage is enhanced picture quality in particular when displaying bright contents, for example the white background of a presentation.

Alongside many additional large-format models of the MultiSync ® X and P series, NEC Display Solutions will be showing a number of projection and desktop display solutions. Trade visitors will see, among other things, the first model of the new "Office Cool" range, the MultiSync ® EX231W. With this 23-inch model the manufacturer is setting new standards in design and features in the field of corporate displays.
