NEC Display Solutions presents NEC MultiSync ® E231W with LED backlights
Munich, 10 August 2010 – NEC Display Solutions is extending its MultiSync ® E-series with a 23” display that offers outstanding energy efficiency. The reason for this is its power-saving W-LED technology and integrated ambient light sensor. A DisplayPort connection means improved connectivity, too. With its excellent ergonomic properties and generous display area, the monitor is ideal for working comfortably and effectively.
The NEC MultiSync ® E231W is especially suited to professional users in offices. The W-LED backlighting reduces current consumption by up to 50 per cent compared with conventional TFT displays. The reduced CO2 emissions mean less harm to the environment as well as a significant cost saving. The ambient light sensor, which automatically adapts the display’s screen brightness to the surrounding light conditions, also cuts power consumption. This function means that the display no longer needs to be adjusted manually.
With a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, the display offers brilliant image quality in full HD. The NEC MultiSync ® E231W features VGA and digital DVI-D interfaces as well as a DisplayPort connection, making it highly adaptable for everyday office use. This means that users can run all the usual office applications and enjoy faster data transfer.
The ability to adjust the height of the display by up to 110 mm, as well as its pivot function, allowing the screen to be viewed in landscape or portrait format, make for comfortable working. These features enable users to set up the display to suit their own personal preferences. The display has received the EPEAT Gold seal as well as the TCO 5.0 certificate, which are awarded to devices that comply with strict ergonomic and ecological guidelines.
Availability, price and warranty
The NEC MultiSync ® E231W will be commercially available as from September 2010 in black or in white with a silver front frame priced at €299.00 (inc. VAT). The package includes a power cable, one analogue and one digital signal cable and a user manual. NEC Display Solutions Europe offers a three-year warranty including backlights.
