NEC Display Solutions adds 55” 120 Hz public display to P-series
Munich, 26 May 2010 – The 55” NEC MultiSync ® P551 widescreen LCD display from NEC Display Solutions is to be launched in July 2010. Due to its high refresh rate, the first public display with 120 Hz technology and a professional panel is the perfect solution for displaying fast-moving images. The narrow bezel monitor with a maximum brightness of 700cd/m 2 is ideally suited for high-quality retail signage, as an information board for public transport, or for use in conference centres and control rooms.
With a refresh rate of 120 Hz, the P551 displays even fast-moving objects with clear contours. This is especially noticeable with sports broadcasts, fast-moving news tickers and animated digital signage. All images are represented in sharp detail and brilliant colour without motion blur.
The LAN interface allows the MultiSync ® P551 to be integrated into an SNMP environment for central control and monitoring. Besides all common analogue and digital interfaces, the display also has a DisplayPort connection that supports higher bandwidths and longer cables. Like all P-series models, the P551 features an integrated ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts the screen brightness. Add-on modules such as the NEC media player or the built-in PC can be fitted in the option slot in the monitor housing. They replace external devices, eliminating extra cables, improving the overall appearance of the installation.
Availability, price and warranty
The NEC MultiSync ® P551 will be available in black from July 2010. NEC Display Solutions Europe offers a three-year warranty including backlights.
