NEC Competence Day 2011 inspired by the motto "A Tradition of Performance"

NEC Display Solutions plays host to the trade public

Munich, 2 August 2011 - This year's NEC Competence Day is being held on 8th September 2011 in the EXPO XXI events centre in Cologne. Inspired by the motto "A Tradition of Performance", NEC Display Solutions is joining forces with over 20 partners to present a truly unique and unrivalled variety of display and projection solutions. The networking and experts' forum will also provide the latest information about exciting new products and trends in the field through presentations and best practice applications.

On an area of more than 2,000 square metres, trade visitors to the 8th Competence Day will be able to marvel at innovative solutions for the pro AV, digital signage, corporate and education sectors.

As one of the highlights, NEC will be unveiling a new line-up of high-end installation projectors that will be showcased under the motto "A Tradition of Performance". As well as the new projectors in the PA and P series, NEC also offers the PH and PX devices that are ideal for events, universities, large conference rooms and signage applications. The DLP models create impressive pictures and are the world's first OPS-compatible projectors.

"The latest expansions to our portfolio of projectors reflect NEC Display Solutions' understanding of its role perfectly. The pledge to always offer our customers first-class, high-performance products is one we have been offering for many years with tremendous success", says Lutz Hardge, General Manager Central Europe & Central East Europe at NEC Display Solutions Europe.

In its role as the market leader in the digital signage sector, NEC will be presenting the latest product highlights for professional signage applications. Whether it be for stores, lobbies, control rooms or the transport sector - no matter how wide the variety of demands on the digital signage equipment, NEC's portfolio has the perfect solution. At the Competence Day, visitors will also learn about the new LC Public Displays from the P and V series, as well as the ultra-thin X451S and X551S models with a thickness of just 43.3 millimetres. What's more, they'll experience some fascinating video wall installations and find out how easy they are to create and manage.

With its purist design, the NEC "Office Cool" series is the ideal addition to modern office furniture. The exhibition area will feature a multi-screen solution comprising the new EX231Wp devices which are ideal, for example, for control rooms or the finance industry.

"We are very much looking forward to the invariably lively debate with partners and customers at this year's Competence Day in Cologne. The ongoing extension of the NEC partner alliance means we have a unique network to call upon that guarantees our customers first-class expertise and constant further development within the various product worlds", concludes Hardge.
