NEC focuses on healthcare expertise at Medica 2011

Munich, 10 November 2011 NEC Display Solutions Europe will be showcasing its unique range of innovative products and technologies at the Medica 2011 trade fair, in hall 15, booth C44.

Billed as the World forum for Medicine, the show runs from 16 to 19 November in Düsseldorf. Last year’s show boasted over 4,300 exhibitors and more than 137,000 visitors from across the medical industry and this year’s show is set to be even bigger.

From its 100m 2 booth, NEC Display Solutions Healthcare will exhibit its uniquely extensive hospital wide product range of medical display solutions, including greyscale diagnostic displays, high brightness colour diagnostic displays, new clinical review displays, new large format DICOM preset displays and the latest DICOM Simulation Projectors.

The portfolio of DICOM-compliant medically certified desktop monitors from NEC Display Solutions includes greyscale and colour displays ranging from two to five Megapixels.

Of particular note is the recently unveiled 46-inch NEC MD426-OR Operating Room large format display solution with front-side IP55 protection, helping doctors and other healthcare professionals deliver more accurate healthcare treatment in a simpler and cost-effective way. Similarly the industry leading NEC MD301C4 monitor and the new MDview241 with MDview231 and MDview271 clinical review displays will be showcased at the event alongside NEC’s complete portfolio of medical products for hospital reception areas, reading rooms, training and conference areas and quality assurance.

“Medica allows us to showcase our latest innovations in what 25 years of display experience has brought to the field of medical imaging,” says Christopher Parker, Product Line Manager Professional Displays at NEC Display Solutions Europe at NEC Display Solutions Europe.

“In medical environments, the right technology can be crucial to saving lives. For instance, Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) are the standard choice when replacing traditional film solutions. In order to deal with the hospital-wide challenges of digitalisation, NEC offers high quality diagnostic displays for reporting radiological images within radiology, coupled with a range of displays able to view medical images at a high and consistent standard across all departments within a hospital.”
