BOOKMAKER’S OFFICE OLYMP IN KAZAKHSTAN
CREATING PERFECT DISPLAY SOLUTIONS
Pursuing bookmaker business development, OLYMP launched a project for the construction of the largest bookmaker related entertainment complex in Kazakhstan. Following the installation of a number of NEC large format displays and projectors, visitors enjoy high quality broadcast of sporting events.
Bookmaker’s Of!ce OLYMP is the largest betting service provider in Kazakhstan. OLYMP has over 300 outlets in Kazakhstan and a number of branches in Ukraine and South Africa.
The complex is located in Astana and is implemented as a four level building, where the ground floor accommodates a billiard room, the !rst and second floors offer Sport Bar services and the third "oor houses VIP rooms equipped with three displays broadcasting a few sport events simultaneously.
The Challenge
Key missions and objectives de!ned at the stage of Statement of Work development, envisaged construction of a complex ultimately focused on providing the visitor with the most comfortable environment for watching sports programmes. One of the Customer’s requirements included development of unique audio and video solutions based on reliable and top quality equipment.
With the approval of the Statement of Work it became apparent that there are no facilities of this type in Kazakhstan so far.
The NEC Solution
A display takes on a critical role for watching sporting events. The company selected NEC Display Solutions to provide the specified equipment which included 2 projectors and 57 displays to show TV programmes and on-line broadcasting of bookmaker quotations.
The Result
Given the scale of the project, the installers focused on top quality equipment from the start, selecting the displays recognized for their uninterrupted reliable operation, audio and video switchers (Gefen, Kramer), loudspeaker systems and boosters (Ohm, England).
VIP rooms on the third "oor are equipped with a system of 4 displays: one for bookmaker quotations and remaining three - for sporting event broadcasting, where a few matches can be viewed simultaneously. To make VIP room visitors feel even more comfortable, the rooms are equipped with a Control4 based iPad control system. The system enables the user to adjust illumination intensity and sound volume, select satellite receiver channels and display inputs to switch between karaoke and TV. Switching equipment and displays are controlled via Ethernet.
Audio and Video Technologies and the Customer were greatly satis!ed with their choice of displays for this project, offering perfect value-for-money ratio, special image adjustment instruments and versatile opportunities for display integration, that all coupled together produced positive results.
