Service Types

Throughout the EMEA region there is an extensive network of more than 40 authorised service partners available.

Depending on the region, either exchange service, collect repair and return service or return to base service is available as a standard.

ServiceTypes-Exchange

ES - Exchange Service 

A refurbished buffer unit of the same or higher specifications is delivered to the customer and the Authorized Service Centre (ASC) arranges the collection of the customer’s faulty unit. The customer keeps the replacement unit. Sharp/NEC repairs and refurbishes the defect unit and re-uses it for other cases. Transportation costs – both ways – are covered by Sharp/NEC.

ServiceTypes-DeadOnArrival

DOA - Dead-on-Arrival Service 

A fabric new unit of the same or higher specifications is delivered to the customer and the ASC arranges the collection of the customer’s faulty unit. The customer keeps the replacement unit. Sharp/NEC repairs and refurbishes the defect unit and re-uses it for other cases. The transportation costs - both ways – are covered by Sharp/NEC.

Note: the DOA service is available within the first 15 days upon final customer date of purchase.

ServiceTypes-CollectRepairReturn

CRR - Collect, Repair & Return Service 

The Authorized Service Center (ASC) arranges the collection of the defect unit, repairs it and returns it to the customer once the repair is completed. Transportation costs – both ways – are covered by Sharp/NEC.

ServiceTypes-ReturnToBase

RTB - Return to Base Service 

The customer brings – or sends – the unit to an Authorized Service Centre (ASC) on his behalf. The ASC repairs and returns it to the customer once the repair is completed. Costs for the return of the unit to the customer are covered by Sharp/NEC.

ServiceTypes-DeReInstall

De-/Re-Install Service

De-/re-install service includes a next business day on-site visit by a qualified technician Upon evaluation of the fault, the technician will either repair the fault on-site or replace the product.

  • Delivery of swap unit to customer
  • Onsite swapping by technician
  • De-install defective unit
  • Re-install the swap unit
  • Functional test of the swap unit
  • Collection of defective unit from customer

ServiceTypes-OnSite

On-Site Service

An On-Site Service is available for the Sharp/NEC large format displays. In case of a technical defect, a technician will be dispatched and repair the unit on location. If repair is not possible, the unit will be replaced.
