Fogra approves NEC SpectraView monitors for FograCert Softproofing System

Munich, 1 June 2009 – NEC Display Solutions is proud to receive the Fogra Pre-Cert for our SpectraView monitors of 24 inches and above. The NEC SpectraView models 2490, Reference 2690 and Reference 3090 fulfil the challenging requirements for monitors to be used in the FograCert Softproofing System. Fogra is the German Graphic Technology Research Association. A softproofing system allows a user to view image content on his computer monitor precisely as it will appear when printed as hard copy. The FograCert Softproofing System documents the seamless and matched interaction of materials, machines, processes and personal expertise.

“This confirmation from Fogra is an independent proof of our commitment to the highest standards of monitor image quality. The outstanding viewing angle stability and uniformity of brightness, colour and gradation satisfy the exacting demands of our customers in the professional softproofing business”, says Christopher Parker, Product Line Manager - Professional Displays NEC Display Solutions. “We are particularly proud to be able to offer a series of wide format displays with IPS panel technology that meet the demanding needs of the FograCert Softproofing system.”
