The NEC MultiSync® LCD195WXM widescreen display

New NEC 19 inch widescreen LCD monitor for office and SOHO users

Munich, 14th May, 2007 – NEC Display Solutions has launched the MultiSync ® LCD195WXM, an entry level 19 inch 16:10 aspect ratio desktop monitor with in-built stereo speakers. Designed for SOHO and SMB users, this widescreen TFT monitor offers additional user comfort and improved ergonomics. The MultiSync ® LCD195WXM is designed with a slim bezel with a rounded and smoothed appearance and offers excellent price to performance. The LCD195WXM is equipped with a wide range of useful features including both digital and analogue connections, 50mm height adjustment and the NEC NTAA (Non-Touch-Auto-Adjustment) function which automatically adjusts the monitor settings when the signal source changes, ensuring optimal picture quality.

The new NEC MultiSync ® LCD195WXM widescreen monitor, with a reaction time of 5ms, has been specially developed for users requiring sophisticated features at an affordable price.  This LCD display is suitable for all standard office and multimedia applications with the inclusion of both analogue and digital interfaces providing greater flexibility and a high level of future compatibility.

The human eye has evolved to accommodate a wide field of view meaning that widescreen monitors offer improved ergonomics with the benefit of increased productivity and user comfort. With the inclusion of NEC’s unique ErgoDesign ® , the highest possible level of comfort is guaranteed through features such as 50mm height adjustment of the screen in addition to the ability to be tilted and turned ensuring that the user can adjust the screen to the most suitable and comfortable position.

In addition to the numerous technical refinements, the NEC MultiSync ® LCD195WXM offers a very narrow surround and two colour options featuring a silver bezel with a black or white rear.  The built-in speakers, unobtrusively mounted on the rear of the monitor, offer multimedia capability and ensure that displays fit tastefully into any working or home office environment.

The widescreen format makes it easier for the user to gain a complete overview when several applications are open at the same time. When using Excel applications, additional columns can be viewed without panning and additional information can be viewed alongside chart information.  Microsoft Windows Vista, with the sidebar function offering instant access to commonly used information and applications, is also better suited to widescreen LCD’s and makes it significantly easier to setup and use the monitor at the optimal widescreen resolutions. The NEC MultiSync ® LCD195WXM is compliant with all current environmental and safety standards including ISO 13406-2, EC, TÜV GS, TÜV ERGONOMIE and TCO’03.
