NEC launches professional desktop display for better ergonomics and improved user comfort with enhanced flexibility
NEC’s first desktop monitor to offer built-in ‘Low Blue Light Plus’ technology to protect eyes for long-term use
Munich, 24 May, 2016 – NEC Display Solutions Europe has launched the MultiSync® E245WMi, a 24-inch widescreen desktop monitor with built-in ‘Low Blue Light Plus’ technology to make long-term monitor usage better for eye health and greater flexibility to ensure ergonomic comfort. Environments such as corporate, finance, aviation and transportation, energy and utility, in which displays are central to employee’s day-to-day work, are set to benefit significantly from these health-focused features.
The commercial 24-inch display surface of over 60cm with 16:10 aspect ratio is ideal for handling huge amounts of information efficiently. The display is NEC’s first desktop monitor with built-in Low Blue Light Plus and flicker-free technology – the display filters out hazardous blue light emissions and eliminates flickering, protecting workers’ eyes against conditions such as cataracts and macular degeneration. These health benefits are possible without compromising the true-to-life display colour performance.
The latest addition to NEC’s MultiSync® E Series desktop displays also offers features that meet demanding ergonomic requirements for industries with long-term office working hours. These include 110mm height adjustability, tilt, and swivel as well as vertical and horizontal display orientation, providing the user with flexible ergonomic setting options. The Plane Line Switching (PLS) technology give users superior viewing experiences wherever the viewer is sitting or standing.
“Organisations across many industries need smart desktop monitors that prioritise the ergonomic and health needs of office workers. People who spend long and intensive periods of time in front of monitors can have their working experience significantly improved by better designed monitors that are suited to their specific needs. The ability to adjust the display is also crucial in making sure this experience is as comfortable as possible,” commented Alistair Round, Product Manager Commercial Display Solutions at NEC Display Solutions Europe.
The NEC MultiSync® E245WMi also offers LED backlights, full connectivity to digital and analogue inputs (DisplayPort, DVI-D, VGA) and NaViSet Administrator 2 software tool, which enables management of all connected display devices from a centralised location. In addition, the display is integrated with touch-sensitive OSD controls, enabling the user to easily make adjustments.
The combination of low power components, such as ECO Mode™ energy saving features, ENERGY STAR 7.0 and TCO 7.0 and light sensors, ensures that the display also helps lower energy usage in the organisation.
