Should a failure occur, the embedded unit is easily swapped out without having to replace the entire display. Both the display and the embedded module is covered under 3 year warranty with additional exchange service within EMEA.

There is a single point of contact for service and maintenance. A Sharp/NEC display or projector that incorporates an option board will have matching warranties and one service contact.
If a slot-in product requires servicing or upgrade, it can be easily removed leaving the display or projector fully operational.
The Standalone Adapter even allows the slot-in product to be tested without installing it first.
