NEC Display Solutions unveils ultra-short-throw interactive projector to enhance learning environments
Integrated solution adds wide range of easily implemented collaborative tools
Munich, 22 June, 2015 - NEC Display Solutions Europe is launching the UM352Wi ultra-short-throw projector to enhance learning environments, enabling better collaboration and group learning with integrated interactivity tools. It offers an entirely interactive solution that can be used stand-alone or with a PC or other devices.
Schools, colleges and companies are looking to interactive technology such as projectors to meet goals around collaborative learning. The UM352Wi ultra-short-throw projector offers a wide range of features to enable this, with the ability to connect up to 50 devices through its integrated wireless capability. It offers instant sharing of content from a tablet using Miracast technology and NEC DisplayNote software, and advanced collaborative functions such as voting and annotation. Up to 16 devices can be viewed together at a time, or content can be shared from the projector to web browsers.
“NEC understands that technology investments made by education organisations today have to support a vision for more collaborative and interactive learning,” said Ulf Greiner, Product Line Manager Business Projectors at NEC Display Solutions Europe. “Organisations want to enable that learning in classrooms and meeting rooms, but without adding complexity. NEC interactive projectors add a valuable asset to the classroom by offering this balance.”
The 3,500 ANSI lumen projector includes a built-in interactive pen receiver and two interactive pens for white boarding and annotations on the writing surface. Students can make on-screen annotations on any wall, dry erase board or chalkboard without the need for a computer. Easy set-up is enabled through an auto-calibration feature and curved screen correction. The presenter is also able to better engage with the audience thanks to the reduced shadow and glare. Touch capabilities can also be added easily through software-aided set-up of an additional NP01TM Touch Module.

The NEC UM352Wi projector will be available from beginning of July 2015.
