Sharp/NEC to support the Zurich Film Festival as Cooperation Partner
Together with integrator Audio Cine AG, Sharp/NEC laser projectors will provide festival visitors with a unique cinema experience
Munich September 29, 2023 – Sharp NEC Display Solutions Europe will be supporting the Zurich Film Festival (ZFF), taking place from 28 September to 8 October 2023. Sharp/NEC is collaborating with Audio Cine AG, a leading integrator specialising in cinema projectors and sound systems. With the help of laser projectors provided by Sharp/NEC, both partners will deliver a unique cinematic experience to visitors of the film festival.
The ZFF brings the most exciting auteur films to Zurich from around the globe. With more than 130,000 cinema visits, the ZFF is now the second largest film festival in the German-speaking world. It was listed among the Guardian's Top 10 coolest European film festivals.
In the Kongresshaus Zurich, an NEC NC3541L RB laser projector will illuminate a 16m wide screen for an audience of about 1,000 people.
The NEC NC3541L RB laser projectors are the first RB laser projectors for premium and large screens up to 32 metres, offering full 4K resolution and a wide colour space. Combined with a homogeneous and high-contrast laser image quality, the models provide an incomparable cinematic experience with 35,000 lumens of brightness, making them suitable for 2D and 3D image reproduction. Compared to xenon lamp-based models, RB laser projectors offer the highest possible reliability with maintenance-free operation, low power consumption and up to 50,000 hours of lifetime. These features result in a significantly lower total cost of ownership (TCO) for cinema operators.
